Colors

Other than some of the cold days I think Fall is my favorite season. The colors are beautiful, the sun is always a welcome sight and the fall treats are yummy. The other day I went to the Farmer's Market in Bellingham with my friend Amanda and Natalie and I was so disappointed I did not have my camera. I did however capture some pics with my cell phone that I can share.

Broccoli.... Isn't is beatiful?

Love the colors!!!
See why I wish I had my camera? There were some great opportunities for some really good pictures. I absolutly love going to the market.

I have been out working in the yard since we have had some sunshine and was able to snap a couple of other fallish pictures to share.

This is called a Tiger Eye Tree. I can't wait for it to get much bigger!

Again, beautiful colors!
My Pampas grass actually got its tufts this year!
I was out weeding this morning early because I found it is easier to pull weeds when the ground is wet. I don't know why someone didn't tell me this sooner but the roots come up with the weed and you are not digging around trying to get the rest of the root when they break off. Anyway, this is a new plant to our yard that was given to us by someone Will worked with. I loved the dew on it this morning hence the photo session. If anyone knows what this plant is I am looking for more because it is a favorite!

If you look close you can see my shadow in the big droplets.

Love the red and orange together with the berries.
Hope you enjoyed the fall colors as much as I did. Stay warm, enjoy fall treats, cheers and until next time!

  1. Jennifer,
I love your blog. The pumpkin farm was really sweet. We used to do that with Krishna & my friend's from Bellingham & their kids. The adults loved it as much as the kids.
I'll ask my gardening friends about the plant. Your yard looks so good. Yes weeds in wet soil are such a treat...piles of them come out at once.
