My holiday decorating always starts with a vision, but doesn't necessarily end up how I pictured it. I am not a huge Halloween fan, but for some reason this year I decided I wanted to bring out my inner Martha. Unfortunately, my pictures are not very good. It is very cute or should I say "spoooooky" in person, but you will get the gist.
Watch out for spiders!!! |
Last Christmas mom found some very pretty black Christmas balls, which I had bought for my tree in Seattle. I decided I would use them as part of my decorating for Halloween. Then I saw these great crows at Jo-Ann Fabric and my vision started coming together.
I don't think black crows are really a sign of good luck, especially in your house, but so far no problems. |
I love stretching the cobwebs. They are too cool! |
You can see in the background of the above picture the fireplace mantle. I have been decorating this for a couple years now and actually found a bunch of black candles that inspired that. Again, my picture skills need improvement, but you will get the idea.
I had to take the below pictures quick. The candles are pretty, but the cobwebs go up in smoke quickly and then it becomes a hazard that Will would prefer not to have to deal with.
Okay, this is not really a Halloween prop. We really have a barn door in our house. Looks pretty old and creepy huh?
More Halloween pictures to come as the month goes on. Hope you enjoyed these. Cheers until next time!
